Size : queen: 13 - 15 mm, workers: 5 to 7 mm, majors: 8 to 14mm
Color : brown with black stripes
Queen lifespan: up to 15 years
Food: Principally sweet liquids, jellies... but needs proteins too with fruit flies, little parts of crickets or cockroaches...
Humidity: 60-80%.
Temperature: 25 - 28°C.
Hibernation: Yes, from mid-November to february at room temperature 19/21°C.
Nest type: Ytong, plaster, acrylic, 3D printed nests.
Camponotus habereri is easy to breed, with slow but steady growth and no hibernation.
