Color : Black and yellow. workers : golden yellow, the majors are darker

Food: Principally sweet liquids, jellies... but needs proteins too with fruit flies, little parts of crickets or cockroaches...
Humidity: 40-50%.
Temperature: 23 - 28°C.
Hibernation: No, but a winter break from November to February at room temperature better for the queen's life span.
Nest type: wooden nests and other dry nests. Drinking trough in the hunting area is mandatory
Camponotus sanctus are some of Africa's largest and most stunning ants. Don't be fooled by their beauty, though – they are fiercely protective and will attack with powerful jaws if they feel their nest is threatened.
